Metro to Connect Gurgaon Railway Station to HUDA City Centre

As per media reports, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is currently evaluating a metro line proposal between Huda City Centre to Gurgaon railway station.

Under the proposed plan, the 12-kilometer metro line starting at Gurgaon railway station will connect with HUDA City Centre passing via Rajiv Chowk (Gurgaon) and Subhash Chowk at Sohna Road. If approved, the new line will bring parity in terms of Metro facility for commuters in old and new Gurgaon.

Confirming the news, Gurgaon MLA Umesh Aggarwal said, "Yes, it is true that the metro connectivity between the above said two destinations that have the maximum passenger pulling strength is required urgently and at the earliest. It will help nearly three to five lac commuters daily. We have held a meeting with the chief administrator, Brijender Singh, and other officials in this regard."

As per the MLA, "Shortly, the HUDA will invite reputed companies to prepare detailed project report. We want work to begin at the earliest."
